JESSICA WILLIAMS - So Good
Biography
Celebrated dance music artist Jessica Williams was one of ten children raised in Tyler, Texas. She was singing as soon as she could talk, joining the family for gospel sings at home and at church. As soon as she was able she headed to Los Angeles, eagerly accepting an offer to work with Motown Producer H. B. Barnum. Jessica found herself backing Motown stalwarts Diana Ross on "Love Hangover" and Thelma Houston on "Don't Leave Me This Way," along with songs for Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson and The Jacksons. Although she had hoped to join the Motown stars as an artist, it took a deal with a Dance producer who gave her the chance to join a group called Arpeggio with who she topped the charts in the 80's with the hits "Love & Desire" and "Let the Music Play" on Polydor Records.
Jessica then went on to have solo hits "Queen of Fools", "Limelight" and "Love Hostage". Jessica also showed her vocal prowess exploring other music styles backing both The Jazzy Crusaders on the "Ghettoblaster" album and R&B diva Stephanie Mills. She has also toured extensively backing up Helen Reddy amongst others and had a release that gave her cult status with the Man2Man produced camp rendition of "These Boots Are Made For Walking" bringing her major fans in Mexico and the Eurodance arena. She worked alongside her husband John B. Williams, the Bass Player in "the Posse" on the Arsenio Hall TV show and has continued to perform her club dates which bought her into contact with LA based Producer Rick Gianatos. Their first collaboration being a cover of the Donna Summer classic "Sunset People". Jessica provided vocals on the soundtrack of the acclaimed movie "TRICK" with a storming cover of "I Am Woman". Rick and Jessica are now currently working on her new album entitled "TELL MAMA" - the first single released was a cover of the underground HiNRG Disco classic "24 Hours A Day" which was also a chart hit in the nineties for Dance act NOMAD ("I wanna give you devotion"). This second single is an outstanding version of the Mica Paris track "SO GOOD" which reflects in the video a song of hope and Love for these days of Lockdown. Jessica's storming Smokey vocals are sounding better than ever and with a whole Album featuring a variety of great tracks all worthy of single release due in 2021 she is going from strength to strength.
The year of the powerhouse Dance DIVA vocal is ahead!
